The Garden State Cup has been offering and promoting absolute accessibility for athletes of all levels, and this year was no exception. Four athletes with exceptional needs stole the hearts of spectators as they proved that the oldest Taekwondo motto, “Yes, I can,” mindset can be awarded the golden success. Kudos to their unyielding support team of parents, instructors, and coaches to energize and encourage each of these athletes to push their limits. Respect!
These athletes, Kristofer Barsanti from Ji Ho Choi Taekwondo, Danny Margulis and Emmet Guiney From Apex Tigers, and Ryan Daly from Black Belt World, showed true indomitable spirit at the Garden State Cup. They have taught us what perseverance and true hard work looks like. We encourage all Taekwondo schools to inspire all their athletes to come and compete no matter what obstacle.
