On Saturday, June 8th. Eight 1st dan certification candidates and 3 deputy black belt candidates started their new TKD journey into the Brotherhood of black belts.
They endured 4 hours of Grandmaster Choi’s challenges and commands. They demonstrated the ultimate Taekwondo spirit of its tenets and persevered while tackling some of most difficult personal challenges.
At the end of the four hours, through sweat, some tear, and yes, blood; students, family members, grand master Jiho Choi, ma’am Kelley, and senior black belts were filled with pride and joy for the newly initiated black belts.
Long and hard training proved well worth the value of the transformation they feel inside and out.
Everyone of Grandmaster Choi’s black belts have endured the same experience of training and testing. These new graduates are now part of an exclusive family of black belts.
